“Herping Texas” Book

Our book, Herping Texas: The Quest for Reptiles and Amphibians (Texas A&M University Press) has a release date of November 5th of this year. The book describes our travels to the different ecoregions of Texas, finding and photographing many of the state’s herp species and getting to know the refuges, wildlife management areas, parks, ranchland, and other places where they live.

You can pre-order the book at Amazon and at Barnes & Noble, or just have a look at the book description in the TAMU Press catalog.

Clint and Michael are available to talk with groups about the herps of Texas and some of the stories that went into the book. We’ve got lots of photos of herps and the places where they are found. If your group would like to contact us about such a presentation, please use our contact page.

We will provide more updates on this page as the book’s release date gets closer.

9/22/18 – The Press has told me that shipments have arrived at their warehouse, and I should have some copies of the book to sell at upcoming events, including the Lone Star Rattlesnake Days event at the Discovery Gardens during the State Fair (October 12-14).
